  Welcome !!!

7th International Symposium on
Multibody Systems and Mechatronics - MuSMe 2021

Fully Virtual Conference

Córdoba, Argentina, October 12-15, 2021

The aim of the MuSMe symposium is to bring together researchers from the broad ranges of disciplines referring to Multibody Systems and Mechatronics, in an intimate, collegial and stimulating environment.

Announces:

Plenary speakers:

  • Prof. Marco Ceccarelli, Laboratory of Robot Mechatronics, Dept of Industrial Engineering, University of Rome Tor Vergata, Rome, Italy. Plenary Talk: Role and impact of Mechanism Design for Robots
  • Prof. Alberto Cardona, Centro de Investigación en Métodos Computacionales (Universidad Nacional del Litoral - CONICET), Santa Fe, Argentina. Plenary Talk: Multibody Dynamics / CFD Cosimulation of Wind Turbines
  • Prof. Manfred Husty, Institut für Grundlagen der Technischen Wissenschaften, Unit Geometry and CAD, University of Innsbruck, Innsbruck, Austria. Plenary Talk:  From Mechanisms to Kinematic Constraint Equations
  • Prof. Jorge Ambrosio, Instituto de Engenharia Mecânica, Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisbon, Portugal. Plenary Talk: Multibody Dynamics Methods for Railway Dynamics

Springer will sponsor the Best Paper Awards in categories: Research, Applications, and Student.

Those accepted submissions that were orally presented in the conference will be published in the proceedings book (to be edited by M.Pucheta, A. Cardona, S. Preidikman, and R. Hecker). The book of proceedings will be published as a volume of the Springer series on Mechanism and Machine Science (edited by M. Ceccarelli).

Topics addressed include, but are not limited to:

  • Analysis and synthesis of mechanisms
  • Dynamics of multibody systems
  • Design of algorithms for mechatronic systems
  • Experimental validations
  • Virtual reality integrated to multibody and mechatronic systems
  • Multibody design in robotic systems
  • Theory of mechatronics simulation
  • Mechatronic systems for rehabilitation and assistive technologies
  • Control of mechatronic systems
  • Vehicle dynamics
  • Mechatronic systems for energy harvesting
  • Multibody and mechatronics systems for mitigating the COVID-19 pandemic

The MUSME 2020 Symposium is one of the activities of the FEIbIM Commission for Robotics and Mechanisms and IFToMM Technical Committees for Multibody Dynamics and for Robotics and Mechatronics.

Modern systems can be considered as integrated systems that can be properly studied, designed, and operated by using Mechatronics viewpoints, but even considering the multibody architecture. Indeed, multibody system kinematics and dynamics can be thought as fundamental disciplines for Mechatronics approaches in designing and operating modern systems.

The aim of The International Symposium on Multibody Systems and Mechatronics – MuSMe is to have a specific international conference which facilitates a meeting with academic and industrial experts, who are interested in Multibody Systems and Mechatronics, participating in technical papers presentations, plenary lectures and informal conversations in order to share experiences and to discuss results of investigations.

The single-session format is adopted for the oral presentations of the papers, enabling the exchange of knowledge.

Language: English will be the working language of the Symposium and will be used for the proceedings, the presentations and discussions. No simultaneous translation will be provided
